Biogas contains moisture which needs to be removed as accumulation of water may lead to freezing of water as well as to prevent the storage devices from corrosion. It can be removed by cyclone type of moisture trap.

The amount of water removed will depend upon temperature conditions of Biogas plant internal as well as external temperature. e.g. If the inside temperature of Biogas plant is 30^oC and external temperature is 15^oC then approximately 20gms of water is recovered for every cubic mete of Biogas.
